| HERE BEGAN MY GREAT ADVENTURE! This little church is in the village of Golden, N.M. -- On Highway 14 - although it is not a view from the High Road I wanted to include it because I traveled through these villages when I first arrived from Chicago in 1967. Known as the Turquoise Trail, I enjoyed many visits with the "old timers" who told me great stories about the history of the place - the mining camps and local legends of Cerrillos and Golden. It was a different world to be explored for years and years. |
