| Don Eusavio's spirit in the white horse standing in front of the capilla he built for his wife .....the day I was to move away from Truchas for the last time,, Don Eusavio invited me into the little chapel -- the floor was covered in linoleum -- and the "altaro" still had statues of the saints beloved by his wife who had passed away many years before. He told me to choose one - and I chose a Santo Nino --- to this day the saint graces my altar -- and every time I look at him I think of Don Eusavio. |
